50th Anniversary Reminders

The big day is almost here !

A big thank you to all those who came out on Sunday to tidy up the grounds. Piggie Park is looking smart and ready to receive the several hundred people expected this Saturday.

In preparation for the big day, there are a few things for everyone to be aware of:

Dinner Tickets

Dinner tickets are SOLD OUT.

For those who reserved or paid in advance through the bar, you will be able to collect your tickets on Saturday from 11 am onward.  A table will be set up in front of the Clubhouse.

Cash and cheques are preferred but debit/credit card is also an option through the bar.

Drink Tickets

In order to keep the traffic running smoothly at the bar, we will be selling tickets for drinks throughout the day:

• Beer: $4

• All other drinks: $5

Beer will be served outside in a designated area, all other drinks will be available inside.  Outside alcohol is not permitted.

Parking attendants will be on site from 11 am onward.  Please follow their direction, and enter our facility with caution and consideration for everyone’s safety.  As we’re expecting a lot of people, we encourage as many people to carpool as possible.

There is no parking in front of the Club on Herd Road.  Please plan according.

We still need a few people to help out with various things:

• Sales of t-shirts, hats and dinner/drink/raffle tickets

• Servers for dinner

Please contact May Geach to volunteer.

To make your day even more enjoyable, we will have the following facilities available to our guests:

• Concession, open till 3 pm

• Clubhouse bar and beer tent

• Dance till 11 pm (admission is free)

Port-a-potties will be available and garbage cans will be placed throughout the grounds. We would very much appreciate everyone keeping our ground clear of litter.

Raffles & Membership Sales

We will have a few raffles and sales running throughout the day.

1st prize: Signed framed Keevan Mealamu All Blacks jersey

2nd prize: Rugby Canada jersey

Cost: $5/ea, 3 for $10

50/50 raffle through the day – bring your loonies and twoonies!

Commemorative shirts and hats will also be available for purchase.

John James will be selling social memberships throughout the day. John can also answer any questions about sponsorship opportunities.

There will be space available for camping on the south end of the grounds (on the far field) so those who wish to crash out for the night.

We look forward to this historic day and remind all members and guests to celebrate responsibly.

See you Saturday!
