1st Division Women

The ladies will host United RFC this weekend.  Games have been few and far between for the Piggies this spring so the girls are really looking forward to this match.  This will be the curtain opener for the Piggie portion of the day and the girls would love to have the Piggie Nation out in support!

Junior Boys

The Junior Piggies will host Bow Valley RFC from Alberta on Saturday.  Cowichan will field the U15 and U18 boys sides against the Albertans.  It’ll be a fun, probably wet and cold day but the hospitality will be warm and cheerful in the clubhouse after!

1st Division Men

The men were scheduled to make their first trip to the mainland in several years to play United but unfortunately, and unsurprisingly, the snow has forced a cancellation.  This would have been the only road trip for this season. The boys were prepared and looking forward to the trip.  Alas it was not to be.

The next game for the Piggies will be be against Port at home March 3.

Neutral Games

Piggie Park has agreed to host several neutral site games on Saturday for Nanaimo and Comox RFC.  The other club’s fields have been closed due to snow cover (and being public facilities, the clubs don’t get a say in the closures).  As we all know, the benefit of private ownership means that Piggie Park never closes
