Last call at the Gibbins Road Clubhouse

The Woodside Pub

Long before there was a Piggie Park, the CRFC clubhouse was in the basement of Ted and Una Hearn’s home on Gibbins Road. Ted was a founding member of the Cowichan Rugby Club, passing away in 2005.  Ted was dedicated to the club from the beginning – as player, as Club President and other roles through the years.  One of his greatest contributions to the club was building the “Woodside Pub” in the basement of the family home — where it remains today.

Una recently sold the family home but before she moves, the Hearn family would like invite the Piggie Nation past and present into the Woodside Pub to enjoy a pint, say a toast to absent friends and ring out “last call” for the final time.
