Membership & Registration

Each member of the Cowichan Rugby Club, upon paying his/her dues receives the following:

  • 1 full years membership with the club.
  • 1 full vote at the Annual General Meeting and two General Meetings held during the calendar year.
  • Actually becomes part of a society that owns the club and fixtures. The Cowichan Rugby Club owns and operates the Grounds, Clubhouse and Stands (Clear Title)
  • Playing members receive full insurance (medical/dental/liability) while playing for club.
  • Use of all club facilities for 1 year within reason including the grounds, clubhouse, change-rooms and vehicles.
  • Playing privileges like being on a BC Championship side or being promoted to a representative side (Island, BC or Canada)

From your paid dues, the Club must pay the following expenses:

  • Team fees paid to the British Columbia Rugby Union @ $1100.00 per team
  • Fees paid to the Vancouver Island Rugby Union @ $550.00
  • Fees paid to the North Vancouver island Rugby Union @ $420.00
  • Fees paid to the Referees Society @ $300.00
  • From your dues paid to the club a portion of which are fees paid to the Canadian Rugby Union (Player Insurance & Registration) @ $39.80 per Senior Player @ $39.80 per Senior Non Playing Participant @ $55.00 per Junior Player @ $40.00 per Mini Player (Under 14) @ $11.60 per Mini Coach

Here is what membership costs you

  • Senior Playing Member @ $300 per year.
  • Student Playing Member @ $175 per year.
  • Junior Playing Member @ $150 per year.
  • Mini Playing Member @ $80 per year.

Registration Certificate
