Wayne Peace Game Saturday, September 12th at 1:00pm at Cowichan RFC
The Wayne Peace Game will be held Saturday, September 12th starting at 1:00pm at Cowichan RFC.
The day will feature a "Friends of Wayne" game starting at 1:00pm and then a full on game between Nanaimo and Cowichan at 3pm.
Gate will open at 12:00 pm. $10.00 to get into the park and onto the field. $60.00 will get you a shirt, dinner and a game.
All proceeds will go to Wayne's Fund which helps Tanya and the boys carry on with athletics or schooling.
TRAINING
Continues for men and women Tuesday and Thursdya evenings. We are pleased to announce that Chris Evans has been named as Head Coach of the Cowichan Rugby Club. Chris, who I am sure everyone is familiar with, will be assisted by Tony Medina, Gary Dukelow, Gudy Gudmundseth and others. The 1st Div. Men will be coached by Jerry Kusters, long time player and very successful coach in our Junior program. Taking on the U-19 Men will be Mike Moss and U-18 Women will be coached by Alana Skene.
PROPERTY PROJECT
Stands move was exciting and went well. It is now sitting 15 ft. in the air in a foundation hole on the south side of the parking lot. I have been away for the last 10 days but our great contractors have been busy as bees working on the rest of the sand playing surface which should be ready for seeding soon. Next is the foundation for the stands and we can breath a sigh of relief.
