LOTS OF RUGBY THIS WEEKEND.....so despite our three main Senior teams being idle...there's plenty of action going on locally.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29th
12:00 noon: U-18 WOMEN: Cowichan RFC vs United RFC at Cowichan High School in the BCRU Championship Game
United will be travelling over to play our undefeated Women's U-18 side this weekend. The girls come from a variety of local High Schools in the Valley and are coached by Alana Skene. They are very skilled and it would be super to see these youngsters take on United RFC from New Westminster/Port Coquitlam.
Cowichan will be playing for our 3rd BC Crown in 2009, after our Senior Women and U-16's won respective titles in the Spring.
1:00pm: U-17 Men: Cowichan vs Nanaimo at Herd Rd.
These boys are now in 1st Place in the Island Division with Oak Bay Castaways hot on their tail. A win at the club this weekend should secure a home VIRU U-17 Final at the club on Dec 5th. This group of boys is highly skilled and led by Canada U-17 team member, Patrick Kay. These are the group of boys that took the U-16 title this past Spring. So let's go support the girls at Cow High then right after head over to the Piggie Dome to watch the boys.
11:30am: U-15 Boys: Cowichan vs Nanaimo at Herd Rd.
The youngsters are in the the hunt for their 3rd victory of the season so let's hope this final game of the season ends on a high note for the boys.
1:00pm: 3rd Division Men: Cowichan vs Nanaimo at May Bennett in Nanaimo.
The 1st place men are being chased by 2nd place Nanaimo who will be tough at home. Those players wanting a game should contact Coos. Not sure if the bus is heaading up, but perhaps a meeting time at the club of 11:00 am is in order for the trip up. Or simply show up in Nanaimo at 12:15 for thee warm-up..
