1st Division Men

Prior to the Family Day weekend, the Piggies traveled to Comox to play the Kickers.  With several new young players, this match would be an excellent opportunity for these new Piggies to get valuable game experience.  17 Piggies made the trip, with some swapping jerseys to bring up Comox’s numbers.

The Piggies used this opportunity to execute the systems of play they’ve been working on for the last several weeks.  The score reflected their efforts, ending 78-15.

Ty Benson led the way for Cowichan with four tries. Other scorers included Griffin Diaczuk, Arthur Gray, Easton Smith, Rob McDonnell and Sky Smyrichinsky.

This weekend the Piggies will travel to the Tri-Cities for a match against United RFC.  Matches against United are typically very even and the Piggies are determined to take home a victory.

Kick off is 12:30 pm at Hume Park, New Westminster.

1st Division Women

The women, having been idle for the past couple of weekends, are raring to go this weekend with a home against United.

The women won their last game against Bayside and are looking to build on that success.

Kick off is 10:00 am at Piggy Park.
