The women made a statement last weekend against visiting United.  The CowShore team has started to gel, with 10 players hitting the score sheet last weekend.

The women are keen to build on this strong performance this weekend when they host Castaway Wanderers at Westshore Parks and Rec, 11:15 am kick off

1st Division Men 21 – United 50

Cowichan Scorers:

  • Danny Hamstra – 1 try
  • Robin Gusse – 2 tires
  • Owen Wood – 3 conversions

This was one of those games where the score doesn’t tell the full story.  But for a handful of mistakes, the Piggies were in this game.  But with inexperience and low numbers, those mistakes cost dearly.

This weekend the Piggies host up-island rivals, Port Alberni Black Sheep.  The Piggies will be looking to defend their home field advantage and head into the Canada 7s break with a victory.  Kick off is 1 pm.
